Mark Cox is the Lead Pastor at Central Church. He and his family moved to Green Bay in October 2006 with the desire to have a positive influence on both the church and the greater Green Bay area. And a positive influence he has had! Under his leadership, Central has made a tremendous impact on the community through hugely successful outreach projects, including Convoy of Hope, July 4th Family Zone, Housing Resource, Grief & Marriage assistance programs, Homeless Shelter assistance, and Firefighter’s Toy Drive.
Mark’s passionate, funny, and relatable style of leadership drives his vision to reach the unchurched with the gospel regardless of obstacles and culture. He is an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God with over 20 years of ministry experience; 11 years as a student ministries pastor and worship pastor in both Missouri and Illinois, and more than 9 years as Lead Pastor at Central Church.
Mark is the Chief Chaplain for the Green Bay Metro Fire Department and has served in that role since April 2012.
Mark’s wife Tricia has also been Mark’s partner in ministry, using her gifts of administration and vocal music.
