GOlocal projects target the greater Green Bay area and share the gospel through local outreach, compassion, and needs based projects. The GOlocal projects are our greatest focus. Every month we will share new short-term and long-term projects that you can get involved with. We also work with GO partners – Central Church members that have become full-time missionaries. Some of our local outreach projects include:

From Mourning To Hope

The mission of From Mourning To Hope is to help people within the community adjust to the death of a loved one by: Connecting with others who have experienced the same and also connecting with God; growing in and accepting the healing God has for them; serving others as it aids in their healing; and reaching others who have also experienced a death so they do not feel they are walking their grief journey alone.

Central Marriage Builders

Central Marriage Builders encourage and equips married and pre-marital couples through the shared experiences using God’s Word as the ultimate support for marital success through all stages of life.

A Central Church program that provides physical and financial assistance to those in need in our local community; while helping them to be more independent through programs and the sharing of God’s word.

Good News Club

An evangelism ministry to the elementary students in the Green Bay Area that brings the Gospel to the leaders of tomorrow.

Jail Ministry

A passionate group that brings the local church inside the prison walls by sharing the Gospel and providing Godly counsel to those on the path to restoration.

Ruby’s Pantry

A monthly “pop-up” food pantry here at Central that provides a “hand-up” not a “hand-out” while planting seeds of the Gospel, and showing Christ’s love.

Love Life

A weekly outreach housed at Central that acts as the hands of Jesus to assist families in need with basic necessities for their infants and young children.

City on a Hill – Milwaukee

Located in the heart of Milwaukee – America’s 5th poorest city, where nearly 68,000 children are living in poverty – City On A Hill’s vision is to break the cycle of generational poverty and bring transformation to central city neighborhoods. Through a collaborative and Christ-centered model of service, we are working to restore hope, reduce poverty, strengthen families, and share the Good News. Partner with us as we take regular trips there to volunteer at their monthly Health Clinic Outreaches.

Speed the Light

Speed the Light is the student-initiated, volunteer, charitable program that provides much-needed equipment to missionaries across the nation and in over 180 countries around the world. It began in 1944 after Ralph Harris, then head of the National Youth Ministries department, prayed for a way to give Assemblies of God students the opportunity to help missionaries in their work.

The concept is simple: Teens give so others can speed the light of the gospel to a world in darkness! This is accomplished by providing the “essential transportation and creative communication” equipment for missionary evangelism. Through modern transportation, radio, television, print, audio, and digital equipment, our missionaries can help make Jesus known.

BGMC (Boys & Girls Missions Club) is the AG missions program for kids that instills a heart of compassion to reach the lost through praying, giving, and going. All funds raised through BGMC go to meet critical needs around the world such as feeding programs, water wells, Bible schools, curriculum, and whatever else a missionary needs in their part of the world.

It’s our desire for every person at Central Church to shift from being a missions donor to being a missions owner. A donor will give, but an owner will GO. We want  theGOproject to get into your heart and change the way you view your life’s mission.

Here’s what we’re asking everyone to consider…

  • Physically:
    • Start leading, serving, or supporting a local, national, or global project on a regular basis. When you get your hands dirty you become an owner.
  • Financially:
    • Invest 1 hour’s pay per month to support theGOproject. (If you earn $8 per hour, give $8 each month = $96 per year.)
    • Invest 1 day’s pay per year (8 hours) in October for a ONE-DAY project.
      (If you make $8 per hour; 8 hours X $8 per hour = $64)

It doesn’t matter if you make $8 per hour or $20 per hour. TheGOproject isn’t about equal giving, it’s about equal sacrifice. When everybody does their part physically and financially WE change lives every day. Please take a moment to to get involved now or to make a commitment today.
